How Readable is Your Content

According to the Flesch-Kincaid Readability Tests how readable your content is on your website can make or break your readers.

So what exactly does all of this mean?

The Flesch-Kincaid Readability Tests are readability tests designed to indicate how difficult a reading passage is to understand.

One of the tests is known as the "Flesch-Kincaid Reading Ease" test. It scores passages on a scale of 0-100. Higher scores indicate material that is easier to read; lower numbers mark harder-to-read passages. The formula for the Reading Ease Test is:

206.835 - (1.015 x avg. words per sentence) - (84.6 x avg. syllables per word)

So how about a few tests:

The result is an index number that rates the text on a 100-point scale. The higher the score, the easier it is to understand the document. Authors are encouraged to aim for a score of approximately 60 to 70.

. As a matter of fact, if you’ve structured your business on other people’s rules – you’re bound to fall far short of your full potential.

Why will you fail?

How to Create a Winning Product

The easiest way to see if your product is a success or a failure is to go out and test it. If your test market responds to your email marketing campaign, then you know you have a good product.

Here are a list of things you need to get your test group to tell you:

  • You get your test group to tell you about your product.
  • Ask them if they would buy your product from you.
  • Believe in your test groups feedback and more of what they think and not what YOU think.
(Why do you want to believe in what other people think and not you?? Well take for instance a few episodes earlier on "The Apprentice". The successful group did their homework and knew what the most needed piece of technology was for teens - the cell phone! This bit of information tied their spot for clinching this task!)

Now the big difference between a winner, and a loser is that the winner will listen to the test groups no matter what he or she thinks. If the groups tell him that his red-hot favorite product is a lame dog, then he'll drop it immediately. Losers will back their hunches right down the line until they go broke....

Now apply the facts into your own product and produce a winner for yourself!

When you are optimizing your web pages to rank well in the major search engines, you should also be sure that you are optimizing for the human eye. The Title of your web page, for example, should be compelling and specifically interesting to your target market. The description of your webpage that is listed in the search engine results should be equally as compelling.

Here is an example of a keyword stuffing that does not cosmetically look great to the eye:

Learn about marketing careers, the stages of developing a marketing plan, how to begin marketing research, create a marketing strategy, and how to market ...

For example, Here is an example of an optimized site:

I think you can definitely see the difference between these two examples. Stuffing your Title (or any of your ad or page copy for that matter) with keywords does not read well, and won't capture the searchers attention.

So instead of "keyword stuffing", why not mix a bit of Copywriting in with your SEO and come up with titles, headers and content that makes sense to your visitors. Writing is a practiced art and is usually learned over time. The more practice you have, the more you will see your page becoming popular with readers. This will encourage your visitors to continue reading at your site.

The Instant Millionaire

The Instant Millionaire is a story about a young man who meets a millionaire and learns the "secret" to being a millionaire. I hate to give away the punchline, but the title of the book "Instant Millionaire" simply means that when you decide to become a millionaire and write that down as a goal with a deadline, that act in and of itself will make you an instant millionaire because before you can achieve it, you must first believe that it is possible and then set that as a goal. Of course you have to take all that on faith.


I picked up this book and read it all the way through in about 2 hours. I usually stop and think while I read, so it took me longer to read this than normal.I do recommend this book because it's nice and short and easy to read.

Affiliate Programs have exploded to immense popularity on the Internet, with thousands of new affiliates joining programs daily. Companies such as Google and Amazon.com are prime examples of programs attracting new members daily.

However, after joining such programs very few people are known to be making more than $100 a month. So why do these affiliates have trouble making a program successful? Much of the time affiliates do not have an effective marketing campaign or real training to promote these programs.

Of course there are a few super affiliates raking in over $100k a year as well as others who just fail to make much money at all. The way some affiliates make a decent income anywhere from $10,000 to $75,000 a year is because they all follow one specific characteristic.


THEY ACHIEVE THEIR SET GOALS

The reason why most affiliates fail at anything is because they do not have a clear vision of where they are heading. They do not take the time to learn and educated themselves properly. Are Small PPC Search Engines Really Worth The Effort?

The final answer is "Maybe."

Hey...Whadya expect? I'm an attorney!


But let me explain further. The correct answer to almost any marketing question is "to test." That's the only way you really know the true answer. But we can learn from the results that others have and adapt them to our marketing.

When it comes to PPC (pay-per-click) search engines, you know they are not all created equal. Google and Overture dominate the market. The total traffic you get from them will dwarf the total from all other PPC search engines combined.

But does that mean that there's no money in the little guys? Au Contraire. (That's the fancy French way of saying, "No." -- and I probably missspelllled it. It's been long time since my high school French class.)

Before I give you some suggestions, please realize that your results are going to vary - always.

Here's the most important point of this entire article:

Your conversion rate will vary from search engine to search engine. A lot. By as much as 300%.

You can run an advertisement on Google and get a 2% conversion ratio of visitors turning into buyers. Then, run the same advertisement on Overture and only see a 1% conversion ratio. Always...always track your promotions and results. They'll be all over the place in terms of conversion.

Does that mean you should stop the ads with the lower conversion ratio?

Absolutely not...unless you're not showing a profit. Aha. Remember, it doesn't matter that the conversion ratio varies as long as you make a profit!

Let's assume you foolishly have no backend marketing in place so the only money you ever see from a customer is on the one- time sale that has a profit of $30 per sale. And you require at least a $15 profit to you after costs. with a 1% conversion ratio, you can pay 15 cents per click and still make your numbers work. You'll get less clicks than if you bid higher, but you can still make the numbers work for you.

Of course, every PPC campaign you get set up and running profitably can be basically put on autopilot. You don't have to micro-manage the campaigns. Just let them keep on bringing in buyers.

You will generally find that the smaller PPC search engines have lower conversion rates than the big two. But they will also usually have a lower average bid.

Just track your clicks and sales so you can adjust your bids to make your numbers work. Even if a specific campaign only results in 1 more profitable sale per month - that's a sale that can keep coming in month after month after month. Do that for just 50 or 100 keyword and search engine combos... and you've got some nice extra moolah rolling in.

"How to be #1 on Google Adwords and Pay the Least"

Whether you're promoting an affiliate program or your own
product, using pay per click traffic is almost necessary.

Wait, let me re-phrase that - pay per click traffic is
almost necessary to TEST. Let's be frank, this form of
traffic does NOT work for all niches and businesses.

Also, succeeding with pay per click traffic is not as easy
as just putting up an ad and sending traffic to your main
site.

There are lots of elements involved such as your ad, your
competition, the landing page, and how much you're paying.

Obviously, to discuss all these elements, we'd need to write
a book - however, this particular article is going to make
you an expert on how to pay less than all your competition
and out rank them at the same
time.

Google has a unique system of ranking their ads that allows
you to be on the top even if you're paying the least per
click.

How?

Just make sure you have the highest click-through rate on
your ad...

There are two main things you need to do to make sure you
can get to the top while paying the
least.

1. Have a killer start - don't be cheap, spend the most in
the beginning.

2. Consistently test your ads to improve your click through
rate.

#1 - Killer Start
------------------

One of the biggest mistakes people make when they launch a
PPC campaign is that they get cheap in the beginning and try
to start slow.

That's all wrong.

You need to spend the most in the beginning. Go in with a
bang...here are two reasons why.

1. If the strategy just isn't going to work, find out early
and get out - don't waste precious time.

2. More importantly, spend the most on PER click in the
beginning. Why?

If you spend the most on "per click" in the beginning,
that's the only way you can convince Google to put you on
the top. You have no click through record, so you have to
make up for that by spending more.

By spending the most in the beginning, you'll get your ad on
the front page and get quick exposure.

This way you'll quickly build up your click-through record
and can immediately start decreasing your "cost per click"
without losing your spot.

Now, if you had started with a low cost per click, you'd end
up on some page far down, never really get any exposure and
could potentially take weeks/months before you build up
any kind of click through rate.

So, first lesson, start fast - go in with a higher
"per-click" budget. Get in strong and you'll see the best
results.

#2 - Test, Test!

The next best way to increase your ad rankings and decrease
your "per-click" costs is to always test new ads.

Google allows you to run two ads at the same time for the
same keywords, they will automatically rotate your ads, one
after the other.

This way you can slowly tweak the headlines, the ad, the
domain name - everything and find what works best.

Always do this and you'll slowly see your click through
rates increase - as your click through rises, you can
decrease your "cost per click" without losing your spot in
the ad.

So, bottom line, even if you're in a niche with a lot of
competition - you can still dominate.

Go in strong, try to get your ad some quick exposure to
build a clickthrough rate fast. Then, quickly start
decreasing your per click costs.

Just a quick word of caution, if you use this strategy, make
sure to actively monitor your adwords account. ALSO, make
sure you set your daily limit to something you can afford
losing.

You'd be surprised how quickly Google can eat up your money!

rehashed and written about. I see that as a problem with
all of these computer online generated automation systems
which have come out on the market.

Sure you can create quite content, but is it really what

I seriously doubt that is what they intended by creating
content for your website.

The trick is to really Rich web pages = search engines love your site = more visitors
But you cannot quit adding. In fact, google encourages you to keep adding
and being consistent in this process. Once you have established a steady
form of visitors, they will keep coming back.
